If you've never seen "Parks and Recreation," a comedy show produced by NBC, I highly suggest you watch it. Not only will it literally make you laugh so hard, it also is easy to relate to. (You know you couldn't say it normally). In a matter of seconds I can go from being Leslie Knope to Andy Dwyer, Chris Traeger to April Ludgate, and lets not forget about our Jerry moments –– or is it Garry. Oh wait, maybe Larry?

I started watching the show, and it didn’t take long to get hooked. I made it through all seven seasons (thanks Hulu for having them) in one week. As the episodes progressed, I found myself realizing the deeper connection I was having with the show.

So here are 15 times "Parks and Recreation" related to college:

1. Realizing you have no idea how to cook

Ahh dorm life is great. OK, maybe not so much, but it did mean trial and error learning to cook food for yourself.

2. The truth about caring for others

High school has “high school drama,” but when you get to college you realize your tolerance is gone for others.

3. When someone asks you "how's college going?"

4. Breaking the freshman 15 and sophomore 20 stereotype

Is a spring break body really worth dying everyday on the treadmill?

5. Sleep deprivation

Say goodbye to your 10 hours of sleep every night. Whether it is from your roommate coming in late at night, the amount of work you have to do or the parties you attend, in general, you are going to be very sleep deprived.

6. Those miraculous nights you get more sleep

Nights you can go to bed early are rare, and your body questions what it is supposed to do with all the extra sleep.

7. The big epiphany

Well said April, Well said.

10. Unwinding during the weekends

For the most part, everyone looks forward to the weekend. The weekend is the time to drown their stress and put the week behind them with the help of their good ol’ friend: Alcohol.

12. Cold mornings

Putting on every possible piece of clothing you own for your 8 a.m. walk to class when the wind is blowing over 20 mph while it is 32 degrees outside –– Yay.

13. Being broke

Bring on those texts to your parents begging for money. It doesn't matter how much you saved up, somehow your money is sucked away and you're broke.

14. Figuring out how to take care of yourself

Where's my mom when I need her?

15. Faking it until you make it

Whether you have personally watched all seven seasons totaling 125 episodes not to mention the blooper reels, or not, "Parks and Recreation" is a show that has many underlying relatable moments.

Take the time to treat yo Self to a few episodes.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
