For my Zumba Instructor:

Where would I be without your crazy antics, free-flying hair or hooting and hollering? Your crazy, beautiful, carefree self inspires me, and for lack of better words, moves me (get it?!) to become more than I thought I ever could. Thank you for inspiring me to get certified and reach new heights. For being a friend - to me, to my parents, my brother and maybe even my dog…thank you for dancing your way into our lives, we are forever changed because of you.

Love,

Me

1. For finally getting your off your butt and running to an exercise class you’re actually excited for! (Because really, who ever thought that would be possible?)

2. For finally teaching you the true meaning of “gyrating,” and then learning how to actually do it

3. For being the reason why you constantly need new sports bras (haha!)

4. For teaching you that almost all moves are on a 4, 6 or 8 count, and "single, single, double" is not just a move, but a way of life.

5. For somehow teaching someone with no rhythm whatsoever how to dance like she might actually have some.

6. For helping you overcome your fear of crowds by making you dance on stage with her at every. single.Zumbathon.

7. For teaching you the meaning of commitment - because one does not simply “miss” a Zumba class.

8. For teaching you that the moves look a whole lot weirder when you try to not make them look weird.

9. For introducing you to new people and friends that you love spending time with.

10. For teaching you the proper way to move your hips.

11. For teaching you how to tango. (One day I'll look sexy doing it!)

12. For bringing you to events with them, and seeing pure joy when people start dancing.

13. For being a friend – unconditionally, in and out of the studio.

14. For helping you learn to be yourself.

15. For being my inspiration to become certified myself – being there to count down the days with me!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
