Let's be honest, being a lefty is hard. At times, it seems like the world is honestly out to get all of us. From non-existent lefty desks to right-handed scissors, being a lefty is a daily struggle.
1. The world isn't made for us
Nothing. Absolutely nothing is made with lefties in mind.
2. The challenge of writing in notebooks/binders

3. Trying to avoid ink marks from pens/pencils on our hands
Real photo of what my hand looks like after an hour of writing.
4. Not being able to write on whiteboards/chalkboards without erasing everything
5. Trying to find a lefty desk
About 1/10 people in the world are lefties; about 1/1000 desks at a university are lefty desks.
6. Trying to write with a righty next to you
Everything just feels so crowded.
7. Trying to use utensils while sitting next to literally anyone
8. Trying to play a sport
Lefty gloves "exist," but they don't (and especially not at school).
9. Trying to play a musical instrument
Everyone else in the orchestra is right handed and plays their instrument right handed, which means you have to.
10. Being forced to become ambidextrous to deal with everyday activities
11. Don't get us started on scissors
Kindergarten was an actual struggle
12. People asking if you're lefty while they see you writing
13. "Oh! I had no idea you were a lefty"
14. People handing things to your right hand and having to switch it over to your other hand
*feels awkward in a right world*
15. Being super proud of the fact that you're a lefty
Because in the end, it's really cool to be different.
