15 Things You Forget To Thank Your Roommate For

Roommates do a lot for you. They are with you every single day. They have seen you at your best and worst, and at your happiest and saddest. Your roommate has been with you through it all. You thank them for all the big things they do for you but often forget to thank them for all the little things. These little things are the things that make them so special to you.

Thank you for:

1. Dealing with my craziness.

2. Letting me borrow your clothes.

3. Letting me eat your snacks in addition to my own.

4. Eating meals with me.

5. Not making me feel bad when I don't go to the gym (which is a lot).

6. Being quiet in the morning and not waking me up when you have an early class.

7. Dealing with my constant random singing.

8. Answering my random questions. "Does this make me look fat?" or "Should I wear this today?"

9. Having random dance parties with me.

10. Filling up the Brita filter constantly.

11. Buying me coffee when I have a bad day.

12. Helping me manage my stress.

13. Letting me use your printer constantly.

14. Binge watching "Grey's Anatomy" with me.

15. For being you.

Being single can be great and awful at the same time. Yeah, it's awesome to have time to yourself to figure out who you are and make your own decisions. It would also be nice to have someone to go through life with, but it needs to be the right person. I haven't found that person yet and here's a few reasons why.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.
