Adrian College may be a small campus, but it's filled with hidden gems that you should take advantage of in your time there. So, from my fellow Adrian Odyssey creators and I, here are things you need to make sure you do while at Adrian College.

1. Study on the terrace at Caine

If the Caine Terrace isn't one of your favorite sites on campus, you're doing it wrong.

2. Read a book on the hammocks out on the mall

The hammocks are amazing and the one by the administration building is the best for reading.

3. Take a nap on the hammocks on the mall

Seriously, you might even get a tan if you find one that isn't under a tree.

4. Get a group of friends and do your homework in a study room

You and your friends are going to be loud and loud and the library don't mix. Make being productive fun and grab a study room.

5. Go to a hockey game

I grew up at Arrington Ice Arena and have been to hundreds of games, so I'm a little biased, but you're probably not going to find better entertainment than our 7 hockey teams. You get in free and you get to watch some amazing hockey teams (seriously, our hockey teams kick butt).

6. Go to Couch Day

Everyone takes their couches to the hill by the baseball field and watches the doubleheader on the last Saturday of the year. I couldn't go this year, but my friends usually do and it's fun even if you're not one of the people who choose to drink all day.

7. Join a club and go to an event with the club

We have clubs for almost every major on campus and they're awesome. I joined the Society for Sport Management and we've gone to a Tiger's game, a minor league hockey game and our athletic director talked to us about his career and how he got where he was and we all had pizza one day and gave us advice and answered our questions about the sport industry.

8. Go to Talent on the Terrace

It's Adrian College's own lip sync battle and it's amazing. Admissions has won the first three with some hilarious numbers (think a couple guys lip syncing 90's Justin Timberlake music)

9. Make s'mores at the fire pits outside of Caine

Need I say more?

10. Take the Bruiser Cruisers out for a spin

Even if you can't really ride a bike very well, it will be a blast even if you end up running over your friend's foot and falling off a few times.

11. Explore downtown Adrian

Don't listen to the negative stuff about downtown, it's not huge but it's unique. Definitely check out cute little shops like Sass and have dinner at Sauce at least once.

12. Go to CAN events

The Campus Activities Network does things like bingo night and stress busters (massages, need I say more?) during finals week.

13. Go to homecoming

You don't even have to watch the football game, you can get caught up for hours walking around the parking lots of the rink and Pellowe where everyone is parked and tailgating.

14. Go to Tip Top or the Skillet for breakfast

Let's face it, the only reason you're going to get up before nine for Ritchie breakfast is if you have a class and you're not going to make it to breakfast. Hit up home town diner-esque restaurants the Skillet and Tip Top. Tip Top is closer and some say better, but Skillet does take Bulldog Bucks.

15. Take a picture with the actual Bruiser

Yes, there's actually an actual bulldog named Bruiser. He and his owner can be spotted at various sporting events and when the weather is nice, you'll pass them when walking around campus.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
