2015 had it's highs and lows, as does every year. The year was better for some than others, but hopefully everyone can find a little bit of goodness when looking back at the year as a whole. Either way, whether it was an amazing year or a not so great year, there are always some things to look back on with a smile.

1. Friends.

Good friendships are always nice to look back on. Even if you've lost some friends this year, hopefully you can still look back on some of your memories with those people and remember them happily.

2. Family.

Always be thankful for the people in your life that are there to love and support you. Blood related or not, those people that you consider family are the best to keep around.

3. Food.

Every year brings with it a variety of great food to try. Or maybe some not so great food, but good memories of eating with people you love.

4. Birthdays.

Because we made it another year!

5. Pluto.

We finally got an HD picture of everybody's favorite planet! Or ex-planet, if you prefer.

6. Equality.

We still have a long way to go before things are 100% equal for everyone, and maybe we won't ever get there, but this year the U.S. took one big step in the right direction by making same sex marriage legal.

7. Taylor Swift.

Whether you like her music or not, there is no denying that the ray of sunshine that is Taylor Swift brought happiness to millions this year with her 1989 tour.

8. Fuller House.

It might not be happening until 2016, but everyone found out that the Full House remake is going to happen and that's something to be excited about.

9. Books.

So many new books came out this year! Take the time to read some of them!

10. Pets.

While pets aren't new to 2015, they are new to some people and are always something to be thankful for.

11. Technology.

The fact that technology changes and improves every single year is mind blowing. We've come so far and in 2015 alone so many new and helpful things have been created.

12. The dress that turned everyone into a psychologist for a few days.

This might seem like a weird thing to be thankful for, but the whole dress controversy got everyone thinking in different ways to try and understand why some people saw it as one color and others saw it as a different one.

13. Back to the Future reunion.

Mart McFly and Doc Brown reunited on Jimmy Kimmel this year and left fans crying tears of excitement.

14. Piecaken.

Pie inside of a cake. Now I haven't tried this yet, but it's definitely a really cool food invention of 2015.

15. 2016.

The end of 2015 means the start of a new and better year!
