Having just turned 20, the realization of adulthood has officially sunk in. It's only natural to look back on my childhood and remember some of my best memories. The joys of not having to pay bills or worry about the future are definitely some things to miss. Most '90s babies can attest that some of the best memories of childhood came hand-in-hand with some of the greatest music. With songs like "Ignition (Remix)" by R. Kelly in 2002 and practically anything by Avril Lavigne, it’s hard to believe the 2000s haven’t made their comeback yet.

After hours of digging through hundreds of oldies but goodies burned onto mixed CDs and consulting with the brightest music minds of the time (aka my best friends), I have compiled a list of the 15 very deserving songs ready to make their comeback debut. The '90s has already managed to revive itself with the reunion performance of the Backstreet Boys and I think it’s high time we give the 2000s their chance to shine (again).

15. "P.I.M.P." by 50 Cent, 2003

A little vulgar but definitely catchy, and if Gwen Stefani’s "Hollaback Girl" or Fergie’s "Fergalicious" has taught us anything, it’s that we love songs that spell words out.

14. "Gold Digger" by Kanye West, 2005

"Now I ain’t sayin' she a gold digger but Kim Kardashian ain’t messin' with no broke..."

13. "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter, 2005

It was a definitely a bad day when 'American Idol' announced they would be airing their 15th and final season this year.

12. "1985" by Bowling for Soup, 2004

It may be 2016 but I definitely still love 1985.

11. "Ms. Jackson" by OutKast, 2000

I wonder if Ms. Jackson ever did forgive him?

10. "I Don’t Want To Be" by Gavin DeGraw, 2003

If you’ve ever watched "One Tree Hill" this song really pulls on some heartstrings, and if you haven’t watched it, you definitely should.

9. "Leave" by Jojo, 2004

The original Jojo, before "The Bachelorette." Inspiring 10-year-old little girls around the world to hate ex-boyfriends they haven’t even met yet.

8. "Don’t Cha" by The Pussy Cat Dolls 2005

If you didn’t strut down the hall and pop your tiny eight-year-old booty in the mirror while belting out this song, you’re lying.

7. "Check On It" by Beyonce, 2005

This list wouldn’t be complete without Queen Bey because even in 2005 she slayed.

6. "Hey Ya" by OutKast, 2003

Before we were twerking we shook it like a Polaroid picture.

5. "Salt Shaker" by Ying Yang Twins, 2002

If you aren’t channeling the Ying Yang Twins while on the pole at Yianni’s you’re doing it wrong. (Not that I’ve ever done this).

4. "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani, 2006

10 years later and still stimulating debate on what a Hollaback Girl really is.

3. "Stacy’s Mom" by Fountains of Wayne 2003

The sole reason why, if I ever have a daughter, I will be naming her Stacy.

2. "1, 2, Step" by Ciara ft. Missy Eliot, 2004

To this day I still know every single word.

1. "I Want Candy" by Aaron Carter, 2000

Hands down the best episode of "Lizzie McGuire."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
