Coffee lovers have almost the same routine every morning.

Step 1: Wake up.

Step 2: Find some coffee.

I personally cannot function, nor have any human contact, until I have at least one sip of coffee. Some mornings I decide to take the drive down the road and treat myself to Starbucks. As a coffee addict and Starbucks lover, there are certain struggles only Starbucks/coffee lovers like myself understand.

1. The whole war over which is better: Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts.

Okay sure Dunkin' has good iced coffee (so I've been told but refuse to agree to), but can someone please simplify their menu for me and tell me how you just ordered that drink that isn't even on the menu? Looks like I'll just stick to Starbucks.

2. You have the mobile app downloaded.

And not only do you have the app, but you're also #goldcard status.

3. Getting Starbucks one day and then getting an email that the next day is your double stars day.

Look I really don't need Starbucks two days in a row but double stars=closer to my free drink=happy me (even though I still need 85 to get my free drink).

4. When your barista knows your name by heart and your order.

It's always awkward when you decide to switch things up.

5. You spend more time studying at Starbucks than at the library or you bedroom.

Starbucks was always my go to study place this past year and I somehow get way more done there than I ever did at the library.

6. Everyone knows you get Starbucks at least once a week or just way too often.

If they don't know this about you then they definitely don't know you.

7. Mobile ordering is the best thing to happen to you, right next to whenever Starbucks decides to deliver.

The convenience of mobile ordering has saved me from going a morning without coffee when I realize that I'm out or when I'm running late for work. But can Starbucks please try/bring about delivery?

8. If you haven't been already, you are DYING to go to Seattle.

Grey's Anatomy aside, Seattle is on my top 3 places to visit so I can see the original Starbucks.

9. Every time you go you think about trying something new, but panic and stick with your usual.

On the way to Starbucks you'll be like, "Wow it's such a nice day! I should try something new." Then you pull up and think, "But what if it's not good? What if I don't like it? The drink I always get is always 10/10 so why would I want to switch it up?" Lots of internal conflict leads you to ultimately choosing to order the same drink.

10. Extra shots of expresso.

You might end up being shaky at work but at least you aren't complaining about how tired you are.

11. A venti iced coffee has the power to transform you into a whole different person.

For just $3.19, iced coffee has the power to make me feel like I can do anything and power through my to-do list.

12. Going all out on your free drink.

Extra flavor shots? Please. Extra shot of expresso? Um hell yes.

13. Frappuccino's don't count as coffee.

No your frappuccino has little to no coffee in it so don't tell me how much of a "coffee addict" you are if you can't drink straight up coffee with at least creamer added. #bye

14. You get low key upset if your normally ordered drink tastes a little off/different.

15. You openly admit you spend too much money on Starbucks but you also know you have 0 self control.

#guilty

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
