1. She answers the phone no matter what time it is.
All the late night calls about not being able to finish a paper, all of the mid-day great news calls, all of the early morning feeling like you have the flu calls, or just plain I miss you call. Every single one, she answers.
2. Although you say "you wouldn't get it", she does.
Everyone has said this classic line before. Something along the lines of, "Mom, you're 45...you don't get what it feels like to get dumped like this". Well, chances are she most definitely does. She probably has her fair share of dramatic heartbreak stories to tell you too. She knows better than anyone that whatever is happening will get better, and listening to what she has to say will always make a difference.
3. She knows you better than you know yourself.
This one is just obvious. This woman gave birth to you, she knew you well before you were even in this world. She knows what to do with you no matter what mood you are in.

Lets face it. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing better than having your mom kiss you on the forehead. It's like a way of saying, "everything is ok", without saying a word.
5. She pays for your Netflix account.
And coffee, and late night pizza, AND that make up you really need, when you only have 15 cents in your bank account.
6. You can always be yourself with her.
You can ugly cry, you can act a little irrational, you can act like a child, and she still is not going to think any less of you.
7. She gives the best advice.
I am not exactly sure how moms know how to do everything, but they do.They know how to fix any stain on any piece of clothing, they know miscellaneous crafting tips, or how to cook the perfect meal. They have the solution to everything, especially when it comes to emotions, and tough life situations.
8. She is your biggest fan.
I'm talking about BIGGEST FAN. She will always love and support you with whatever you decide to do. She will be by your side for when you succeed and for when you fail. She will never give up on you.
9. She'll always do her best to be honest with you.
Sure, honesty might hurt some time, especially coming from your mom. She'll always be truthful with you whether its about your appearance or life choices.
10. She always forgives you.
Most people say things to their mom growing up that they will regret, especially during teenage years. All of those dumb fights, and words you wish you could take back, she has already forgiven you for them.
11. She knows when you're about to start crying.
Maybe this one is only my mom, but I swear she senses this one coming. It's like how animals know when there is a thunderstorm about to hit. Maybe its the face I make, or how I act, but she is always ready with open arms.
12. She makes your favorite food.
Birthdays, holidays, lazy Sundays, no matter what day it is, moms know how to cook. There is nothing better than coming back from college dining hall food to a home cooked meal. It is like a hug for your tummy.

13. You can vent to her about everything
Sitting at the kitchen table and blabbing about school, boys, and friends with your mom will always feel good. No matter what drama you have, she will always be on your side. And she'll give dirty looks to the person who hurt you when she sees them in public.
14. She's your first role model.
Since day one you look up to your mom. How she dresses in her heels, how she can light up a room when she walks in, how she acts under pressure, and how much she loves you. You want to be just like her, she's everything to you.
15. You cannot help but want to go snuggle with her right now.
She's waiting with open arms, and maybe if you're lucky, chocolate chip cookies.
