The Internet has been going crazy lately with talk about “Winter Storm Juno.” Apparently things have been pretty rough for East-Coasters. Snow is building up and they have been forced to stay home from school and watch Netflix in bed. Sounds pretty rough.
Meanwhile, us Californians have been dealing with some serious struggles that the national media has no interest in whatsoever.
This real problem include but are not limited to...
1. Being woken up earlier than necessary because of the sun streaming in.
2. Deciding between wearing a sundress or shorts and a tank top.
3. Getting a little too warm on the walk to class.
4. Forgetting sunglasses at home.
5. Getting blisters from the new Rainbows we’re trying to break in.
6. Having to buy new foundation because we reached a new level of tan.
7. Going to the beach only to find that it’s packed.
8. Having to go to class.
9. Not being able to take cute #blizzard pictures.
10. Fighting over whether or not to turn on the A.C. with your roommate.
11. Being forced to order iced coffee instead of hot.
12. Not having the option of the “Blizzard is Real” filter on Snapchat.
13. Dealing with the slight breeze that comes at the end of the day.
14. Having to get to work on time because we can’t use the blizzard excuse.
15. Listening to every other part of the country talk about how easy we have it.
You can’t know how tough it is here until you experience it. It takes a special kind of person to survive in CA.
