15 New Girl Moments To Sum Up My Mental State During Finals

Because during finals week...Schmidt happens.

15 New Girl Moments To Sum Up My Mental State During Finals

Finals week is always one of the most stressful weeks of school for students. There's final papers, exams, and final projects, plus the potentially added weight of having to move out of your living space. I think that most of these "New Girl" screen caps describe the different emotions and thoughts that every college student has during this time.

You know when you feel so stressed about all of the things that you need to do that you end up doing absolutely none of it, which only makes you feel more stressed? Procrastination baby!

Spending countless hours studying and working on whatever is due next is not a painless journey.

Mental deterioration quickly begins, and suddenly you are acting completely out of character.

Oh the exhaustion of staring at a computer screen for hours upon end and feeling like giving up. Online school has its perks, but man I am sick of it.

Cue the anxiety and life crisis that hits once you realize you feel absolutely unprepared for all of your exams and begin to question what you are doing with your life!

It's always healthy to take a good 'crying to Taylor Swift while drinking wine' break. Treat yourself.

When all you need is love and comfort during this trying time, but the one roommate or friend who is around you doesn't like to show affection.

Do you ever just lay on the floor like this when you are feeling exhausted? No? Just Me? Alright.

Every day closer to the day of your exam or project due date is a day that feels closer to your imminent death.

Ah yes, more crying. Let it out girl.

There's a range of emotions happening during finals. I always feel irrationally angry and sad, but I also crave the most random foods to bring me comfort.

Sometimes these professors really do be acting like us students are capable of impossible feats.

There's plenty of anxiety to go around during finals week! However, we all need to escape from it once in a while.

If you're 21, going out for a well deserved drink after you finish your finals can feel so relieving. I'm not condoning 'blacking out,' but treating yourself to a drink isn't a bad idea.

Finally, the moment when you have lost all of your sanity and brain cells, but you're still alive. Now it's time to chill and contemplate life choices some more, just with less work to do.

Leaving My Backpack In The Library

Views about society and the stranger sitting right across from me

As a college student, my backpack is an extension of myself in many ways. It contains my notes, pens, and computer vital for my success in college. It contains the snacks and water bottle I need to survive long days on campus. It also contains the "in-case" items that help put my mind at rest if I forgot something from home: extra hair ties, masks, and that backup-backup snack. With so much in my backpack important to me and my life on campus, it is no wonder that I can get apprehensive about it when it is not with me or in my line of sight. And that makes me wonder.

'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' Film Review

Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson lead a tigher, more fun sequel to 2018's 'Venom'

When Sony announced that Venom would be getting a stand-alone movie, outside of the Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man films, and intended to start its own separate shared universe of films, the reactions were generally not that kind. Even if Tom Hardy was going to take on the role, why would you take Venom, so intrinsically connected to Spider-Man's comic book roots, and remove all of that for cheap action spectacle?

'The Addams Family 2' Film Review

There's a reason why the Addams Family have become icons of the American cartoon pantheon (although having one of the catchiest theme songs in television history doesn't hinder them).
