College is a special time for every student, so here are 15 haikus that can sum up the college experience.

College is a special time where young adults are given freedoms that they may not have had before. Whether it is sleeping in all day or deciding what food to eat after class, students are given a lot of responsibility throughout their college career. Here are 15 haikus that can be used to describe the complete college experience. Enjoy!

1. College in general…

Homework and exams,

Some late night study sessions.

Can’t wait for next break.


2. The Freshman 15

Ramen, Mac and Cheese,

Both delicious and simple.

But, now you are fat.

3. Dining Halls

Nothing is better

Than endless cereal bowls.

Sneak some back for dorm.

4. School emails

Always check email,

May allow you to sleep in…

Or skip anyway.

5. Week-old food

One week old pizza.

May or may not still be good.

Smells good, will eat soon.

6. Hygiene

Do I need to bathe?

Ran out of dry shampoo, though.

Maybe in morning…

7. Decisions, Decisions

Beer pong or homework?

Always the same decisions.

Why not combine them?

8. Sorority girls

Sorority girls

Don’t mind being so basic.

Where is the Starbucks?

9. Fraternity boys

Fraternity bros,

Always with the pastel shorts.

Dad hat anyone?

10. The one, true hero

Safety from failure

Is like when my in class grade

Is put on a curve.

11. Naps

If I had one dollar

For every nap that I took,

I’d pay tuition.

12. Schedules

I don’t know the day

All I know is TR and MWF.

There’s no in between.

13. First day of class

Where the heck am I?

Room one or is it room two?

Screw this. Nap time yet?

14. Typical food lines

These food lines are long.

Should I make food in my dorm?

Nah, junk food it is.

15. To change or not to change

Should I go dress nice

Or should I dress as homeless?

Homelessness it is…
