Now, if there's one word to sum up Mila Kunis' breakout character, Jackie Burkhart, that word might be "dating". Throughout the show's eight seasons, Jackie dated three of the four main male characters. But that doesn't mean she wasn't good at being in love. It meant just the opposite. Jackie's lessons in love not only taught her something about love, but it taught us, too.
1. You should always choose the person you love.
This one should be a given. You should choose the person you love before anyone else. This (obviously) doesn't mean to not take care of yourself, but you should always be careful when making decisions that affect both of you.
2. It's OK to be weird and creepy with each other.
It's a well-known fact that you start getting comfortable is when you start getting weird.
3. Sometimes going above and beyond is worth it.
If sifting through a jar of jelly beans just to take out the ones she doesn't like isn't love, then I really don't know what is.
4. Always stick up for the one you love.
There's nothing hotter than standing up for the one you love.
5. Even if it's a little awkward, talking about the distant future happens sometimes.
Planning a life together is only natural, but the mention of kids probably could've waited...
6. You have to do some things on your own.
Sometimes, your hand can't be held every single step of the way. You're going to have to learn how to do things for yourself.
7. If it makes them happy, bite your tongue and put them first.
Often times, we let go of what we wanted to happen just to see the one we love happy. In poor ole Kelso's case, he had to be Nancy Drew's pudgy friend.
8. Butt compliments are the best compliments.
Seriously though. You can't go wrong when throwing around butt compliments.
9. Being honest up front is the best way to avoid hurt feelings later on.
Always tell each other if you don't like something. Clear the air and make improvements.
10. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And being cheesy helps.
Corny musical numbers are sure to win any heart over.
11. Sometimes compliments are disguised behind sarcasm.
Even when you want to say something mean, you just can't because the other person is so irresistible.
12. You're going to get on each other's nerves at some point. So stop being a control freak.
Learn to give space during "me" time and let them learn lessons on their own instead of nagging them into the direction you want them to go. You don't control them.
13. You should look at one another as if the other person is the most beautiful thing in the world.
Love is a fragile, beautiful thing.
14. Don't ever leave the person you love behind.
Facing the world alone is no fun. So don't ever leave without knowing the person you love isn't OK.
