If you're anything like me, you couldn't wait to get out of Lancaster the minute you graduated high school. It seemed as if there was so much more the world had to offer, that you simply would not experience if you stayed in your hometown. After being home from college for a little over two months, I realized how much I actually missed this smelly cow-town and all it has to offer.
Here are 14 signs you're from Lancaster County:
1. People think you're Amish.
It gets old... really fast. Yet, people still insist that you're one with the buggy drivers.
2. You also know the difference between an Amish and Mennonite person.
No, they're not the same.
3. You know the correct way to say Lancaster.
It's not LAN-cAster, it's LANG-kister. Check yourself.
4. Sometimes you question who came up with the town names.
It's self-explanatory at this point.
5. You run into half of your graduating class during every First Friday.
There is truly no escaping high school in Lancaster County.
6. You've participated in the age-old Turkey Hill vs. Sheetz debate.
It's been going on since grade school...has anyone come to a consensus yet?
7. You know Lititz is just as fun as Downtown.
It wasn't voted Coolest Small Town in America for nothing!
8. You have a love/hate relationship with Park City Mall.
It was your stomping grounds throughout middle school and high school. Now, you'd have to be heavily bribed before going into the circular parking lot from hell.
9. So instead you run to the next best thing: the Tanger and Rockvale Outlets.
They're kind of out of the way depending on where you live, but always a treat.
10. You grew up going to Dutch Wonderland.

Don't lie, you know you want to go back again.
11. You know the summer months have a certain je ne sais quoi.
Oh, the lovely aroma of manure in the morning. It really cleanses the palette. You can't beat it.
12. You've given up any hope for faster construction.
Traffic cones are a staple accessory these days.
13. You love how easy it is to access major cities.
Philly, New York, Pittsburgh...you name it!
14. Wherever you go, you know there's no place like home.
Lancaster may have its quirks and smells for sure, but, wherever you find yourself in life, you can always find your way back home.
