14 Signs You Know You Have A Person

From “Grey’s Anatomy” we got the idea of having our own “person,” someone who is always there for you, no matter what. Everyone has their “person,” even if they’ve never heard of it. Maybe it is your college roommate, maybe it is your room, but if you’re like me, it is your middle/high school bestie. I meet mine in fifth grade and she hasn’t left my side since. Here are the 14 sure signs that your best friend is, in fact, your “person.”

1. She can read your mind through just some eye contact - you don't even have to say anything to communicate.

2. Going anywhere without her is unbearable because she's basically like your sister.

3. She knows all your secrets and she's the first person that you tell everything to.

4. You get low-key annoyed when you here someone else call them their "best friend."

5. When one of you needs a therapist, you know that there's no one else to turn to.

6. You understand that she can be a total B when she's hungry, tired, stressed, etc.

7. But when it gets to be too much, you know how to put her in her place.

8. She'll encourage your spontaneous ideas, and she usually joins in on them.

9. She's basically been adopted into your family.

10. Your boyfriend has basically accepted her as a third member of the relationship, and vice versa.

11. No one else appreciates spontaneous dance parties like you two.

12. She encourages you to get up and go to class, but on the days when one of you can't seem to make it out of bed, you stay in.

13. She's the person you would call at two in the morning when something goes wrong.

14. You know that no matter what, you'll always be there for each other at the end of the day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
