14 REASONS WHY DISNEY IS THE BEST

I've only been to Disney two times in my whole life. Both times actually in the last year. Everyone always said it was the happiest place on Earth, but I thought it was an overrated theme park, even as a kid. Now that I've been, these are all the reasons why I love Disney world

1. The Monorail: This transportation is by far my favorite. It takes you to three hotels from the transportation center and to Magic Kingdom. Every-time I get on it, I get a little giddy. It was the first "Disney" thing I had ever done so it holds a special place in my heart.

2. When I hear "Have a magical day!": All the cast members tell you "Have a magical day" instead of "Have a good day. Which truly does pile on the magic.

3. Splash mountain! DUH!

4. Mickey Ice-cream bars. DOUBLE DUH.

5. Being called Princess: Obviously I've known I was a princess my whole life. Disney is the only place where they treat me as so!

6. The castle: Because it lets you know you're really at Disney World, it's the focal point of the whole park.

7. The Contemporary Resort: Contemporary Resort is a Disney hotel that you stop at when riding the monorail. (one of the three I mentioned earlier.) It has stores, a cafe and it smells soo good. Plus they have character dining! It might strangley be my favorite place in Disney.

8. Riding back to the hotel: After all day of Disney, its good to get on the bus and look around at the scenery. All the kids on the bus are typically asleep, which makes me a little jealous. But what can ya do?

9. The themed hotels: Ive stayed on site, both times at an All star hotel. They're technically value resorts but I think they're the best. They have fun shaped pools and decked out disney themes everywhere.

10. The outdoor movies: At night, there are outdoor movies at the hotels. Big screens and a bunch of people coming together to watch old and new disney movies. If you're lucky, they'll play one from your childhood!

11. Everyones allowed to be a kid: Everyone is treated equal. And by equal, I mean treated about 5 years old. In the best way possible. The cast members don't spoil any magic for the grown ups either! You're allowed to dance, dress up, and eat as many ice creams as you want. No judgment!

12. Everything smells good: This is actually a thing. They put scents in the the air conditioners so, everything has a distinct and amazing smell.

13. The characters: Hello, you meet all your favorite characters. They will hug you and sign your autograph books.

14. Your childhood is transported into real life: You can't really explain all the best parts of your childhood. Even if you're the most descriptive person ever, words just don't capture all the best memories. No worries. A man named Walt Disney built an entire park to walk through the best parts about our lives. Which for a lot of us, was being a kid. So pack your bags and go see Mickey! Life isn't done until you have!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
