My favorite place in the world lies several hundred miles away, sheltered between groves of palm trees and highway. Everyone has a place they love to visit for vacations with their family, or as a little break between school or work. Two years ago, my family and I went to Disney World in Florida, and it was the most amazing experience of my life, with too many reasons to count.
1. It feels like a whole new world.
Not only are you welcomed with open arms into a park filled with costumes, happiness, and tons of rides and food, but you enter an entirely new world than when you left your hotel that morning. Everyone has their favorite park they love to visit, and we got to see a little bit of every one. They do such a great job at transforming an area into your favorite Disney movies, plays, and television shows.
2. You never want to leave.
My family and I stayed in a Disney hotel while we were visiting the parks, and that gave our whole trip a new dimension of special. After you leave the park for the day, you get to go back to your themed hotel and have the adventure carry on. It was really hard to leave after our final day in the parks. Everything is so unique and an amazing experience overall.
3. Disney cast members make it special.
Winnie the Pooh is one of my all-time favorite characters since I was super young. We got to meet him and Tigger one night while they were doing an autograph signing and photo shoot with whoever passed by their tent. I got a picture that will last a life-time and always mean something special to me. The cast members in the park really play their roles nicely and make your experience all the more special.
4. The weather is always amazing.
Florida weather has to be my favorite type of environment. If you go to Disney during the right time of the year, you’ll end up in a cool temperature with limited humidity.
5. It’s an amazing experience for people of all ages.
I was sixteen when I went to Disney World, and there were people of all ages there with me. It was so easy to enjoy myself and let my inner kid out. You never have to worry about being the oldest person there, because people of all ages come to Disney World to be themselves and have a magical time.
