This article is a continuation from last week's article "Three New Artists That Will Definitely Stick Around (Part 1)." The previous article discussed three artist (Bryson Tiller, Young M.A, and Tory Lanez) who will still be around in the coming year. This article will discusse 21 new artists that will stuck around for a long year. In better words, these next three artists are not on hit wonders in music. They are potential game changers. Four artists are MadeinTYO, Rob Stone, RnB Rock, Ella Vos, Bishop Briggs, Starrah, Lil Yachty, Innament Jones, Chester Jones, Jorja Smith, and Kamaiyah
1. MadeinTYO
Born in Hawaii and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Malcolm Jamaal Davis, famously known as MadeinTYO has became an unique recording artist in 2016. This military brat has risen to the top of the charts. His breakout single "Uber Everywhere" caught the attention of a lot of people. "Uber Everywhere" reached 99 on the Billboard Charts 100. For a new artist this is an achievement. Eight months ago, April 2016, he released his debut "You are Forgiven" which reached 51 on the charts. Another popular single of his is "I Want You." In he years to come, he will continue to top the charts, already signed to Privateclub and WarnerBros. His biggest fan base in is Los Angeles, California. Recent music from MadeinTYO is his mixtape "Thank You, Mr. Tokyo." Check Him Out. He just does not care about driving Ubers Everywhere.
Bonus Fact: MadeinTYO stands for Made In Tokyo. He has spent many years and Japan and became inspired by their culture.
2. Rob $tone
San Diego, California rapper Jaylen Robinson, famously known as Jaylen Robinson has managed to get people's attention from his debut single "Chill Bill." Fitting in the Trap music category he raps authentic about issues in this music. Most of his fans are in Los Angeles, California.
3. PnB Rock
Hailing from Pastorius and Baynton street in Germantown, Pennsylvania, new R&B and rap artist Rakim Allen brings something to music that most artists do not bring. He brings a raw flow to R&B rather than a slow mellow feel like most past and contemporary artist. When rapping, he talks about the struggles in his life and love. Being a juvenile delinquent, at 19, he was arrested and while in jail he wrote his entire debut album "RNB" (Real Nigga Bangaz. By 2014, he was released and drove around handing out his mixtape. Well it all paid off! His latest project "RNB3" is available online. Check it out!
PNB says, "At first I would look at R&B artists like they're all about love, and soft. Then I saw you could be a street boy and still be hot. 4. Ella Vos
Coming from Los Angeles, California, Ella Vos has starting to gain recogniton from her debut single "Rolling Dice." Her voice is calming and soft. Her latest songs are "White Noise" and "Little Brother."
5. Bishop Briggs
British singer Sara McLaughlin comes from Los Angeles, California. Her stage name is Bishop Briggs. Her style of music is Indie Pop and alternative Rock. Her hit debut single "River" give her recognition. In the music she is known as a songwriter.
6. Lil Yachty
Only being 18, Lil Yachty is winning in the game and will continue to climb the charts. Real name Miles Mark McCollum, born in Atlanta, Georgia has a difference about him. His hypnotic and childish flow sparked the liked of millions who seem became his fans. His break out EP "Summer Songs" gave him the recognition he always wanted. Hit single "1Night" and "Minnesota" has become very popular across the world. Yachty has raw talent at an age where most are working or attending college. He does have an education at Alabama State University. His endorsement are being the face of Urban Outfitter clothes collection and Nautica. Also, recently he has a guest appearance in a Sprite commercial with basketball player Lebron James. His recent project is his 2nd mixtape but to gain recognition mixtape "Lil Boat" which is available online. He recently signed to Motown Records, Quality Control Music, and Capital Records.
7. Innanet James
Born Maryland Rapper MC, Innanet James raps with so much wordplay and uses abstract to communicate with his listener. Hit debut song "Summer" gained him recognition. Currently staying in a Brooklyn apartment, this 21 year old works hard because he wants a bright future. Influences of mostly Lil Wayne, he will of course become a success. Continue to listen to his music. If you have no idea who he is, find his music online. His upcoming EP "Expect A Portrait for Free" is said to become a success. We will see!
8. Chester Watson
Supposen Ballet dancer, but became a rapper instead, 17 year old, Chester Watson has been a hit. He is a Florida based rapper who was inspired by his the Victorian Era, chose the stage name "Chester Watson. He does not mention his real name a lot but it is mentioned his songs.
9. Jorja Smith
Young British singer is trying to stop the world with her soulful and calm voice. Her music has become popular in this year. This United Kingdom new R&B artist has debut hits "Where did You Go." This song was self made and video self made by her in her auntie's house. Check her music out! Available anywhere online.
10. Kamaiyah
Oakland, California rapper has being to make a name for her herself with having features on YG and Drake's "Why You Hatin." This female rapper puts an unique raw flow that makes you want to keep her songs on replay. Her break out debut mixtape "A Good Night In The Ghetto" speaks about her life and the problems she encounters. She has a egotistical style of rapper to pull her audience inside to listen more.
