13 Tunes To Play At Your Pool Party All Summer '16

2016 has kicked off to a great start music-wise! I am not sure how everyone’s resolutions are going but the charts have been booming. From Rihanna’s "Anti" album to Beyonce’s "Lemonade" to Drake’s "Views," my speakers have been blasting the best tunes this year. I cannot wait to see what is to come for this summer.

Summer is just starting and Meghan Trainor has already released a killer album two days ago that is sure to have everyone waving their fingers “no” at F*** boys and Ariana Grande has an album coming out on the 20th, featuring stars like Nicki Minaj, Future, Lil’ Wayne and Macy Gray. I may be biased because I am a huge Ari fan, but this album will be bomb.

Here are some of my predictions for songs that will be playing at a pool near you.

Also, here is the Spotify playlist to make my predictions come true.

*Side note* All of Beyonce's Lemonade album would be on this playlist if it were available on Spotify.

1. "Summer Sixteen"- Drake

I predict that this song will be played all summer '16.

2. "My Boo"- Ghost Town DJ's

This 1996 throwback has made a comeback just in time for this summer, all thanks to the Running Man Challenge. I am not sure why it is called the Running Man Challenge since they are not doing the Running Man. I would call it more of a horse trot.

But anyways, it all started with these two guys. Here's the story behind it.

3. "Beautiful Day"- Lil Yachty and Kylie Jenner Ft. Justine Skye and Jordyn Woods

This is absolutely terrible. It had so much potential. It has some great vibes, but who is Lil' Yachty? Other than the flat notes and over-used autotune, this song is catchy! I am "so soOo-oOory" for putting this on the list.

4. "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" (Seeb Remix)- Mike Posner

This remix will make you feel like you're at a rave and will definitely show Avicii that you're cool!

5. "Don’t Mind"- Kent Jones

This song, made famous by the great, djkhaled305 on Snapchat, will make you feel like you're traveling the world for the summer.

6. "Big Green Tractor Remix" –Jason Aldean

One country song is always necessary at a pool party and will always get everyone on their feet.

7. "Never Forget You"- Zara Larrson, MNEK

This song is on the list to get you in your feels.

8. "Uber Everywhere"- Madeintyo

Songs with weird noises are always a hit!

9. "One Dance"- Drake

"One Dance" will be the song of the summer and is a good representation of how the rest of his "Views" album is.

10. "Jordan Belfort"- Wes Walker and Dyl

Cheers to the college kid's anthem! I'm sure I am not the only one who is still disappointed they weren't able to perform at Winthrop.

11. "Wake Up"- Fetty Wap

“Throw your caps in the air like you know you made it.” This one is for all the graduates!

12. "Close"- Nick Jonas and Tove Lo

It looks like the Jonas Brothers will be doing great on the charts this summer, not together, though. Separately, sad face.

13. "Ride"- Twenty-One Pilots

If you're not going to play this at your pool party, at least play it while riding in your convertible with the top down.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

10 Reasons Why Sisters Are The Best

Who could be a better friend than your own sister?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. So, if you are aware that you’re a Starbucks addict as well, or maybe you need to check to see if you’re an addict, here are seven ways to tell.

College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective. The following aren’t foolproof tips and may not apply to you, but I was able to find success with them (hope you do too!)
