One of the nicest things someone can tell a college student is that class is cancelled. So, you know that when the weather forecasts predicts snow, college students are praying for just enough inches that will let them stay in their rooms and not venture out on to an ice-rink like campus. Us college students go through a rollercoaster of emotion anticipating a snow day- from hope to anxiety to reluctant resignation when classes aren't cancelled. Below is a list of 13 thoughts one has in anticipation of a snow day:
1. OH MY GOD. Snow day, maybe?
Hey, this is crazy, but I have a 6 page paper due tomorrow that I haven't started... So, snow day, maybe?
2. I'm going to wear my pajamas inside out or sleep with spoon under my pillow.
... And start making plans for what I will do when classes are cancelled because they obviously have to cancel them.
3. I'm not going to do any homework.
Finally a valid excuse for taking Buzzfeed quizzes instead of math quizzes.
4. I'm going to sledding down the hill on the green.
Think of all the cool 'Winter Wonderland' Snapchat stories!
5. I'm just going to sleep the entire day.
I need my full eight(teen) hours of sleep, okay?
When you don't get the 'Class is canceled' e-mail...
6. I guess I have to go to class, so I'm going to break out my cute hat.
Let's make the most of this day and pretend like I'm not worried about all the incomplete assignments!
7. It is SO cold... Why is it not a snow day?
Honestly, they should have just cancelled class. How do they expect us to walk in this frigid tundra?
8. I could have been Netflix-ing in my warm bed right now.
I could have been learning about House of Cards on Netflix than the House of Lords in History.
9. I need all the hot cocoa for my sore throat.
Hot chocolate with two marshmallows, just like it's made at home!
10. "Do you want to build a snowmaaaaan?" is my catch phrase today.
... Come on let's go and plaaaaaay.
11. Friends, will you take photos with me in the snow?
I actually mean pictures of me. I need a new Facebook profile photo.
12. I hope I don't trip and break bones on the ice...
I'm clumsy anyway, and now I have to worry about this ice?!
13. Snow day or not, because it's frigid, it is a PJ party till the snow melts!
The cold never bothered me, anyway!
