The final stretch of cramming season is here. If you think you have time to study, you don’t. All you can do is study as much as humanly possible and try to survive this week of torture. Summer is in sight but can’t get here any faster.
1. “Did we really learn this?”
You might not have been paying attention in class, or maybe you missed class. Either way, you have no idea that you professor covered this material.
2. “Is this even English?”
It’s all so confusing. You're so lost that it must be a foreign language.
3. “I’m never going to learn all of this material.”
If you cram, there is a small possibility that you will remember the material. Always try to study at least an hour a day so you understand the material better.
4. “I’m going to fail.”
With that mindset, you just might.
5. “I’m dying.”
No, you’re not. You just don’t want to put in the work for the last week of school and last exams you’ll have for the semester.
6. “My brain hurts.”
Studying is your brain’s mode of exercise. You can’t run a mile without training for it.
7. “Why did I not drop this class sooner?”
When things get tough, you can either run or persevere.
8. “Why did I choose this major?”
You chose it because you either love that field of study or you want to have a successful and profitable career.
9. “Why did I come to Purdue?”
We all know Purdue is an exceptional state university. It has a prestigious reputation that is known across the globe. Nobody wants to settle for less or mediocrity. You wanted to get the best education, and Purdue may be challenging you so that you can reach your fullest potential.
10. “Is there anything I can do to get out of taking this exam?”
There are a lot of things in life that we don’t want to do, but we must do it. Although none of us want to take the final exam, we should. Unless there is a genuine reason, like you’re in the hospital or there was a death in the family, would that allow you to be excused from the exam.
11. “Really. They couldn’t schedule my final for a different day/time?”
It’s not your professor’s fault that your final was possibly scheduled on a Saturday afternoon. It really just depended on how many students need to take it, and what rooms are available and can hold all of those students.
12. “When will this be over?”
It will be after you take your final. Then you never really have to remember that course’s material again.
13. “When will summer finally get here?!”
In due time. You’ll get rewarded for all of your hard work with a long break from school.
