With fall comes tons of seasonal activities we all love. From bonfires to cozy clothes to Halloween, there’s no better season. Now, light a fall-scented candle and check out these 13 activities that you can’t miss this season.

1. Go leaf-peeping.

One of the most obvious (and beautiful) parts of fall is the changing colors of the leaves. Go for a morning hike, a long drive, or, if you’re lucky, even just a walk outside to see the fall colors everywhere you look.

2. Drink a #PSL.

Or just buy anything and everything with “pumpkin spice” in its name. I mean, is there really anything more fall than that?

3. Go apple picking.

Apple picking is the perfect fall date or a great way to kill the afternoon with your friends. While you’re at it, take home some fresh hot apple cider to enjoy while you curl up on the sofa and read a book.

4. Pile all the leaves together and dive in!

OK, don’t literally dive in, but you can still have hours of fun raking the leaves (aka #Adulting) and then playing in your pile (#NotAdulting).

5. Plan a date to a haunted house or forest.

Haunted houses and forests are so fun – and it’s even more fun to get super cuddly with whoever’s protecting you from the zombies and ghosts!

6. Find the perfect pumpkin to carve.

Whether it’s for Halloween decorations or just for something to do, pumpkin carving is a must! Make it even better and have a pumpkin carving competition with your friends.

7. Go to a football game.

From tailgating to watching your team *hopefully* win, there’s so much about football that just fits perfectly with fall.

8. Find the perfect Halloween costume.

It’s never too early to start planning the perfect Halloween costume, and if you’re super hardcore, your costume has been planned for months. From “It,” to Beyoncé and her baby bump, to Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino, this year’s possibilities are endless!

9. Open all the windows.

There’s nothing better than fall’s fresh, crisp air. Drive with your windows down or open them up in your room!

10. Stay in and have an endless movie or game night.

Wind the clock waaay back and pretend you’re in elementary school again by binge-watching "Halloweentown," "Hocus Pocus" and "Twitches"! Or make it a game night with Halloween trivia or even super scary ghost stories.

11. Get yourself lost in a corn maze.

But also, remember your way out… I think we’ve all seen those scary movies.

12. Light some seasonal candles.

If you already have a fall candle lit while reading this like I suggested at the top, you’re #real. If not, you NEED fall candles in your life! They make everything better. Plus, you can never have too many.

13. Go to a Fall Festival.

Caramel-dipped apples and Ferris wheels? Count me in!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
