13 Things Somehow STILL Easier Than Being A Gamecock Fan

We never take an L at tailgating, that's for sure.

It's football season again! My team is the South Carolina Gamecocks, and trust me I just heard you mumble, "Oh Lord, bless her."

If ever there was an award for worst luck and most dedicated fans, the USC Gamecocks would have that no doubt.

This season, the Gamecocks have played against NC State, and Mizzou and both games the Gamecocks took the win. The third game of the season and the first home game were completely sold out! Everyone's so ready for the third win of a so far amazing and much needed season, and then our luck returns. The Jr Wide Reciever named Deebo Samuel, who is, in my opinion, a worthy Heisman Trophy candidate, suffered an ankle injury.

According to his twitter and an interview with coach Muschamp, he could be back in 6 weeks, assuming the best. Of course, by then you've taken the heat of football season, and he would need time to get back in the swing of things. Excuse me while I ugly cry like Kim Kardashian when she lost her earrings in the ocean.

I say all that to justify my list of 13 things that are, to me, easier than being a Gamecock fan:

1. Chugging an entire cookout milkshake with a straw as soon as you get it.

2. Watching the animal shelter commercial with the "In the Arms of an Angel" song and not crying while doing so.

3. Baptizing a cat.

4. Underwater Basket Weaving.

5. Helen Keller getting through a corn maze.

6. Taking a tequila shot and chasing it with Clorox.

7. Finding a cure for the random eye twitch that we all get.

Yes, it's weird and yes, everyone sees it.

8. Enjoying a glass of orange juice immediately after brushing your teeth.

9. Doing the cinnamon challenge from 2015.

10. Actually ordering a McFlurry at McDonald's and the ice cream machine operating perfectly.

11. Promoting the company/person who provides President Trump's spray tans.

12. Going a year without saying this when you get gas: "Can I get $20 on pump uhhh..."

13. Seeing five missed calls from your mom and not caring.

That is actually scarier than the threats from North Korea.

I love the Gamecocks, I always will. I know we have some amazing players with or without Debo, and I truly hope they give us the season we have been dreaming of for so long now. Wishing you a quick and smooth recovery, Deebo! Go Gamecocks!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
