"Gossip Girl" character Blair Waldorf, better known as Queen B, is a woman of wisdom. Whether she speaks of shopping or self respect here's some advice everyone should be taking from the queen.
1. Being independent is a good thing
Having a guy is great, but if there's on thing Queen B makes known it's that loving your self is even better.
2. Don't let anyone get in the way of what you want
Getting what you want doesn't make you spoiled, it means you are strong willed and you won't let anyone steal your happiness. Doing whatever it takes to accomplish your dreams is a must.
3. There's always a bright side to things
No matter who or what is bringing you down, there's always a way to turn a situation around and make something even better. Didn’t get invited to a party? No worries, follow Blair’s logic and crash it, or even better, throw your own.
4. Respect is a must
Respect isn't something that is just stumbled upon, it's earned through hard work and maybe a little bit of scare tactics.
5. Mistakes happen
Everyone makes them, probably even multiple times a week. But that doesn't mean that life stops, mistakes only help you grow.
6. Never lower your standards
Knowing what you want is something no one can take away from you. Don't lower you standards just because someone expects you to.
7. It's okay to not be okay
You aren't going to be happy all the time and that's okay. Sometimes it takes some sadness and self pity to remember why you're so awesome.
8. Having fun is important
If Blair made anything known, having fun is high on her list of priorities. Don’t let your life fly by without doing anything meaningful.
9. Friendship is the most important thing
No matter how big the fights are, friends are there through thick and thin so always keep them around.
10. How to be passionate
Whether it's love, fashion or work, it's important to love what you do and love who you're with.
11. Her organizational skills are flawless
Being students, we know that organization is the key to success. Whether it's her spotless room or organizing schemes to cement her power, if anyone has shown us what organization is it's Blair.
12. She is completely honest and doesn't feel bad about
Honesty is something that everyone should hear, even if they don't like what they're hearing. Blair can teach you that even though honesty can be brutal, it's always necessary.
13. Shopping is a great stress reliever
