Living away from home in a college dorm is risky business. You have to live in close quarters with someone you barely know, and they make you fill out a survey to see who is the best fit, but do they really work? The week before you go to school your friends and family try to reassure you that everything is going to be fine, "you're going to be the best of friends." But you've read all of the college roommate horror stories online and you know there's a huge chance you will hate each other. When you finally get to school you go through the awkward phase of getting to know each other, walking on egg shells, trying to figure out each others lifestyle and eventually, you learn how to live with another person who was a stranger not too long ago (hopefully). Some of us are even lucky enough to find a roommate who transitions from a stranger to a best friend. Here's how you know you and your roommate are two peas in a pod.

1. Even if plans don't work out you can still have a good time together, no matter what the situation is.

2. You dislike the same people...

3. ...and have the strangest conversations.
