Whether it's during a job interview or just hanging out with friends, everyone, at some point in their lives, will experience awkward moments. However, there are some of us who experience these moments more often than others. In extreme cases of awkwardness, people experience this sensation daily. For example, yesterday my mom asked me what kind of batteries were in the remote. I responded with "Rayovac" because that was the brand of batteries in the remote. Seconds after this exchange, I realized she meant the battery size and not the brand. Luckily, I have the ability to laugh at myself, but this doesn't stop me from having those (daily) awkward moments.
1. When someone asks you what you like to do in your free time, everything you've ever done in your life leaves your brain. Instantly.
2. In pictures, you never know what to do with your hands, so you usually end up looking something like this:
3. You have a mini panic attack when you have to make a phone call.
4.You're perfectly happy staying at home because there is no one there to witness your awkward.
5. You have no clue when someone is into you.
6. You get super nervous in front of new people in fear that they'll take you for a bumbling idiot.
7. You find yourself talking to inanimate objects like you would talk to people.
8. You make super nerdy pop-culture references that no one gets.
9. On that note, you're the usually the only one who laughs at your (pretty bad) jokes.
10. You're haunted by your childhood attempts at dating.
11. Which is probably why thinking about the future makes you panic just a little.
12. You've laid awake at night cringing at the memory of that thing you did five years ago.
13. But it's all good, because you've mastered the art of being awkward. Don't be afraid to flaunt it!
