Guys suck. And I know that's a complete overgeneralization and that it isn't true in every case, but as a whole, the population of boys is not doing well. After years of sitting back watching idly as my friends (and myself on occasion) get screwed over, I've given up. My faith in the male species is completely obliterated. But, you know what species I have never questioned a day in my life? The canine species. Which is why instead of spending my time worried about having a boyfriend, I'm going to spend my time hanging out with dogs, because there are so many reasons why they rock way more than boys:
1. They always want to chill
There's never been a time when a dog has turned down a walk or a game of fetch to hang out with their buddies.
2. You don't need to get ready for them
Even when you're dripping in sweat from the gym with no makeup on, your dog will still be excited to see you.
3. It's okay if they're all over your friends
There's nothing wrong with your dog spreading the love to all of your friends.
4. They're up for anything
It's always up to you whether you stay in or go out, and they're always down for whatever you chose.
5. You can tell them anything without the fear of it getting leaked to their friends' group text
When you need to vent, you know your dog will listen and more importantly not run to their buddies and tell them everything you just said.
6. They don't judge you when you eat a lot
Scarfing down four pieces of pizza after a rough day is nothing in the eyes of a dog.
7. They're down to cuddle
When you need a pal to watch a movie with, they're always there and ready to snuggle up next to you.
8. Dogs can't give mixed signals
They literally cannot hide their feelings, and most of the time they just want to love you.
9. You're never scared of annoying them
Because they always want to be with you.
10. They won't be mad if you'd rather hang out with your girlfriends for one night
And they'll be waiting patiently and attentively for you to get home.
11. It's impossible to be annoyed by them
You can't stay mad at your dog for more than five seconds total.
12. You always know exactly what they're thinking about
And it's usually food, fetch, or going for a walk.
13. You know they'll never get bored by you
Your mere presence makes them happier than you've probably made any boy.
