I still vividly remember the moment I received my paper on bid day, and I can’t put into words the emotions that swept over me when I read that I had been accepted as a sister to the Oklahoma chapter of Alpha Phi. I was so excited. Alpha Phi had been one of my favorite houses since the first day of recruitment, and I could not wait to be a part of their chapter, surrounded by friends I could call my sisters. Since bid day, my love for the chapter has grown immensely, and there is no other chapter I could imagine calling my house, my friends and, most importantly, my sisters. Here are the 13 reasons why I love the Oklahoma chapter of Alpha Phi.

1) We have the cutest house.

Don't be fooled by the cottage look on the outside. The Alpha Phi house is huge, and the inside looks like a beautiful Pottery Barn explosion.

2) We have the best philanthropy.

The Alpha Phi Foundation proudly supports women's heart health. The OU Alpha Phi chapter has been awarded for being a top donor in the south for the past 2 years.

3) We won the Soonerthon Miracle Cup.

Soonerthon is an event dedicated to raising money for the Children's Miracle Network Foundation in Oklahoma. This year, Alpha Phi was awarded the Soonerthon Miracle Cup for their participation and fundraising for the event. Soonerthon raised a grand total of $721,941.16 this year.

4) We love spending time with sisters.

Whether they're eating pizza in Oklahoma City, watching the premiere of the latest Hunger Games movie, or picking out pumpkins in a local pumpkin patch, Alpha Phis love coming together to bond with their sisters

5) We love Sooner football.

What could be better than cheering on our 2015 Big XII champs with other girls who love the game as much as I do?

6) We love to travel.

Whether it's a road trip with the sisters or a study abroad program through the university, OU Alpha Phis love to travel and show the world the ivy leaf.

7) We love to have fun.

Want to have a paint war after chapter tonight? The OU Alpha Phis do!

8) We take OU Homecoming very seriously

Building the float, perfecting the routine, and cheering on our sisters during the Rah Rally are just a few of the things we love about homecoming.

9) We have celebrity support.

Any sorority that Matthew McConaughey supports is a yes for me!

10) We love taking pictures.

We just want everyone to know how much we love our sisterhood!

11) We love queso.

OU Alpha Phi hosts an annual queso competition, where all students are invited into the Alpha Phi house to eat chips and queso and ride the mechanical bull in the front lawn. All proceeds go to the Alpha Phi Foundation.

12) We love our president.

Not only does she do an incredible job running our chapter, but she loves spending time with all of our members!

13) We love our families.

Now that I am a member of the OU Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi, I can't imagine my life without this chapter or these sisters. I love y'all so much. AOE

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
