Based on Jay Asher's 2007 bestselling book, 13 Reasons Why has been adapted into a Netflix series that has everyone talking. The thirteen-episode show tells the story of a seventeen-year-old girl named Hannah who commits suicide and leaves a series of tapes for thirteen people, explaining the reasons why she did what she did. The show is heavy, and the themes and messages it touches on are not always easy to watch, but they're important. Heaviness aside, if you've watched the show, there are some things on the lighter side that you may notice, and we could think of a few different names this show could've gone by.

1. "13 Shades of Clay's Forehead Scrape"

Did Clay ever get that cut checked out? Why does he only put a Band-Aid on it in some episodes and not others? What is that awful yellow color it was turning and why are people not commenting on this horrific looking gash?

2. "13 Super Short Dresses That Sheri Bought at Gap Kids, Probably"

Seriously, those things could fit a toddler.

3. "13 Times I've Wondered Why No One is Judging Justin for His Chest Tattoo"

It looks like the "No Ragrets" tattoo from We're the Millers. I can't even tell what it says, but it's hard to look at. You're better than that, Justin.

4. "13 Reasons Jeff Atkins Deserved Better"

R.I.P. Jeff, you wonderful, kind, baseball player.

5. "13 Times I Gagged Because Jessica Drinks Straight Vodka"

That girl's got a crazy tolerance. If she didn't clearly have a drinking problem, I'd be kind of impressed by her ability to chug vodka straight.

6. "13 Times I Felt Personally Victimized by the Guidance Counselor"

HE WAS JUST THE WORST.

7. "13 Reasons Courtney Set Women Back 40 Years"

Not only did she throw Hannah under the bus to keep her own secret, which is breaking every girl code ever, she refused to acknowledge that what she did was wrong on any level. On top of being an all-around crappy person, she victim-shamed Jessica AND Hannah. I'm still angry she defended Bryce and sided with all the guys who wanted to keep Bryce's crimes a secret.

8. "13 Times I Remembered My Childhood Because Clay is Actually Todd from 'The Clique'"

Ah, how's he grown!

9. "13 Times I Wondered if Hannah Put Gel in Her Hair Or if it Was Naturally Like That"

I seriously wanted to touch her hair the entire series. It just looked so......crunchy? Also her short hair was definitely a poorly adjusted wig that I wanted to fix myself the entire time, but hey that's just me.

10. "13 Times Tony Was the Best Character, But Also the Worst"

He was sketchy as Hell and spoke in riddles, and let's not forget he made Clay climb up that rock even though they could've just gone on the trail. Still, he did what he did to protect Clay and make sure what happened to Hannah didn't happen to him. The best, but the worst.

11. "13 Times I Wished There Was a Cool Coffee Place Like Monet's in My Town"

Why don't my friends and I go get trendy coffee and read tarot cards? I'm confused.

12. "13 Reasons I'm So Glad I Didn't Go to That God Awful High School"

High school was rough but this high school seems especially terrible, especially with people like Bryce running the school. No, thank you.

13. "13 Times This Show Was Frustrating But So Important"

Granted, you should read the book, but this show demonstrates the importance of telling the truth and being kind to everyone because you don't know what they're going through.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
