With Netflix consistently changing the TV shows and movies they provide, there have been many that have caught my eye. Shows and movies that were on television when I was younger have been making an appearance and I couldn't be happier! These are just some of the TV shows and movies creating childhood nostalgia:

(Keep in mind that some of the films and shows may have been created before I was born, but I still watched them as a child)

1. The Land Before Time (1988)

I used to watch this show at my Grandma's house with my cousins when I lived in California and I just remember that she had a lot of the movies on VHS. (My grandma lives with us in Missouri now and she most of them still.)

2. Anastasia (1997)

This used to be one of my cousin's favorites, so I watched it often as a child. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the story, music, and animation as I own in on DVD now.

3. Pokémon: Indigo League (2000)

THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR, both then and now. I love this show and I always will.

4. Totally Spies (2001)

When I saw this make an appearance on Netflix, I got super pumped because I totally forgot about this show. At the sight of the TV show cover I somehow remembered the characters' names and that I own a VHS containing a few episodes of the show.

5. Courage the Cowardly Dog (2002)

This show gave me some heebie jeebies with their creepy villains, but that was the beauty of the show.

6. Hey Arnold! The Movie (2002)

HEY FOOTBALL HEAD!!

7. Holes (2003)

OMG. Young Shia LeBeouf!!

8. The Cheetah Girls (2003)

TCG and HSM were everything to younger me because all the people were great singers and pretty stylish.

9. Powerpuff Girls (2004)

I loved the Powerpuff Girls and my mom made me a crochet blanket with their colors. I also had a VHS of TPG like I had for Totally Spies.

10. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)

Good ole Willy Wonka. Now this isn't the original, but it's pretty good and it's the one from my childhood. Plus I just love Johnny Depp in this and little Freddie Highmore.

11. Chicken Little (2005)

I included this one because I just recently watched this movie at the summer camp I work at and I feel this Disney movie deserves more love. (It was even mentioned in my underappreciated Disney film article)

12.Winx Club (2005)

I just started watching this show again and oh man the nostalgia.

13. Zathura (2005)

There's YOUNG JOSH HUTCHERSON. SO CUTE. I also have the Zathura board game if anyone's down to play it with me.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
