13 Bible Verses That You Need to Read During Finals Week

It's that time of the year again. The week that all college students stress about and fully dislike. Finals week is upon us.

Finals are always a stressful time. You're stressed about your grades, tests, and whether or not, you're gonna pass that class you need in order to graduate.

Even though finals week is a rough time for many college students, here are some bible verses that are great to reflect on during this week.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

"I can do all things through him who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13

But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". - John 14:6

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

"He is the same yesterday, today, and forever" - Hebrews 13:8

"Do not be afraid, for I am with you." - Genesis 26:24

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

"Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." - James 1:2-4

"Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things." - Colossians 3:2

Praying for you during this finals week and that you can finish this race with strength and perseverance, friend!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
