Finals week is easily the most stressful week of the semester. You're bombarded with exams, projects, and presentations, and not only are you supposed to come out alive, but with good grades, too. It's easy to let everything overwhelm you and to become anxious and discouraged. However, this does not need to be the case. God is there to comfort you and to provide you with wisdom, guidance, and strength. I know that it's easy to forget this when you get caught up in the mad-dash to the end of the semester, so one thing I like to do is to set bible verses as the lock screen on my phone. This reminds me every time I look at my phone (which I'll admit is probably a little too often) that I have God on my side. Here are nine bible-verse-backgrounds that you can use to help you get through finals week. (Just click on the photo and it will lead you to a downloadable lock screen).

Don't forget the power of prayer. I know it may seem like your prayer for motivation, focus, and success on an exam is insignificant when compared to the prayers of some other people, but it is not. God cares for you and loves you deeply, and He wants you to come to Him for help.

This verse reminds us that not only will God give us strength to get through finals, but He will also give us joy and promise.

Like I mentioned earlier, believe in the power of prayer. Even if all your prayers don't get answered right away, God will ease your anxiousness and reassure you.

The biggest fear of finals week is that you'll fail. This verse reminds us, though, that God won't let you. Sure, it's possible that you might not get the grade that you were hoping for, but you have the knowledge that you are not going to fall on your face.

It's hard to be optimistic when you're stressed, but we should remember that there are so many reasons to be joyous and thankful.

Even when things see hopeless and impossible, they are not. God not only makes everything a possibility, but also gives you strength to make possibilities a reality.

Don't let the enemy control your thoughts and emotions. Instead, allow God to comfort you, reassure you, and give you peace.

One problem that I have is that I let myself believe that my grades define me. This verse reminds me that getting a B doesn't make me any less worthy because God has made me wonderful.

Remember that every second of every day of finals week, God is with you. He's there for you to tell your fears to, to pray to, and to comfort you.

Make finals week better this semester. Instead of letting anxiousness and fear take control, let God take control. Check out frenchpressmornings.com for more inspiration!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
