1. Waking up whenever you want.
For the next couple of weeks, turn off all those alarms. It is time to catch up on that well-needed and deserved sleep. Went to bed at 3 AM? No problem, sleep in till noon and don't feel bad about it.
2. No homework. I REPEAT, NO HOMEWORK!
Wait? No homework? No more spending countless nights in the library until two AM? That sounds like the most glorious thing I have ever heard.
3. Home-cooking.
No more dining hall food for you. It is time for homemade and delicious food. Chicken from mom's frying pan has never sounded so good.
4. Making money instead of spending it.
Since you are now caught up on sleep and have no homework, it is time to make back all that money you spent on cab rides and shoes. When you go back to school with a good chunk of change, you won't feel guilty about buying more shoes.
5. Nights at the bar with your friends from home.
You love your college friends more than anything, but nothing is like having a glass of wine with your high school BFF's and telling each other crazy college stories as well as reminiscing on the crazy stunts you used to pull before college.
6. Not having to drive your car to a school parking lot.
Oh, you want to go back home? Cool, pull into your driveway and go inside your house. You don't have to go to a secluded parking lot and wait for a shuttle to come pick you up.
7. Not having to take a crazy shuttle to get to your car.
You want to leave your house and take a quick trip to CVS? Ok, walk outside and get in your car and drive. You don't need to time when to leave your room to reach that stupid shuttle.
8. A dishwasher.
No. More. Dishes.
9. Spending time with your crazy family.
You love living at school, but you really did miss your family while you were away. This is the time to watch Christmas movies and drink hot cocoa with mom and dad. You'll be back at school soon enough.
10. Your parents want to buy you stuff.
Whenever you go somewhere with your parents it is like Christmas every day, they love to buy you stuff when your home and being treated like a queen is nice sometimes.
11. You don't have to buy groceries.
Odds are if you want it, Mom bought it, and it is already in the pantry. Especially grocery day, there is no better time to pig out.
12. No more twin bed.
You can fully stretch out and there is still room in your big bed. There is nothing like your bed at home and you have never slept better.
13. Seeing your pets every day.
Coming home to your parents is great, but nothing is like the greeting you get from your dog. They probably missed you more than you missed them! Time for some snuggles!
