Like I mentioned the other day being a short girl is a struggle sometimes. But being “fun sized” isn’t that bad. So here is a list that all fun sized girls can appreciate.

1. You’re closer to the ground so you have less distance to fall.

It’s just like what your mama said, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."

2. You never have to worry about dating someone shorter than you.

Can you imagine a guy standing on his tippy toes or wearing heels to reach your face just to kiss you? Probably not. This is a win for short girls.

3. People always refer to you as cute.

Being that you’re tiny in stature most people when they ask to describe you, call you things like "cute" and "adorable."

4. Just about every shirt can become a dress.

With this you pretty much double your wardrobe!

5. You get to ask cute guys to reach things for you.

Yeah, I am definitely guilty of doing this and let's be honest most of us are. I mean hey no better way to get a conversation going with a hunk than playing the damsel in distress role just a little bit.

6. You never have to worry about getting hit by tree branches.

Another great thing about being short is you never have to duck going under things!

7. You’re a pro at crowd weaving.

Being that we are so close to the ground and we’re typically mixed upon a sea of giants we classify ourselves as ‘"professionals at the bob and weave."

8. You are freaking awesome at limbo.

Yeah, we’re pretty much unbeatable at "short people games" like limbo and hide and seek.

9. You’ve always got plenty of leg room in cars.

While everyone else is in a constant battle of trying to adjust the seats to get it to where they can relax comfortably, you are always able to relax with ease even in the tiniest of seats.

10. You get an endless supply of piggy back rides.

This is definitely one of my favorites! After you’ve had a long day, your feet are tired, and you still have to get from point A to point B, about 99 percent of the time you are able to convince someone to give you a lift!

11. You can wear whatever shoes you want.

You can rock high heels or wear sandals and you won’t have to be worried about towering over others.

12. People always think you’re young.

Most people think you are five years younger than you actually are. Even though you have to show your ID at every bar you go to, one day when you’re in your 30s people will still think you’re in your college years – shortness equals forever young!

13. People will underestimate you and what you’re capable of.

I can speak from personal experiences where people think just because I am short I am not capable of pulling my own weight, let alone others. Us short girls are here to say no more. We are more than capable of getting any job that we are given done and just the idea that you are doubting us on something we cannot control gives us that even extra drive to get the job done. So, looks can be deceiving but we know better than anyone what we can and cannot do.

So, just because we are known as "short girls" doesn't mean we have less to offer than the average female. In fact, it means that we have more to give. Like my parents always told me, “Big things come in small packages."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
