12 Verses To Get You Through Finals
Christian Song Lyrics

It's that time of the year where we begin to lose it. We'd rather take a nap than write that final paper or create that final presentation. I will clean the entire bathroom before I will study for my final exam. Of course, I get things done effectively and do eventually study and make that presentation, but that doesn't change anything about the anxiety that I'm feeling about everything that's happening. So, what do I do? Turn to God, and it works every time.

So, here are some encouraging verses to help you get through this challenging season:

1.) "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you." -Romans 16:20

First of all, God is always with you. When you're tempted to do anything but focus on your work, God has you by His side, and encourages you every step of the way.

2.) "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act." -Psalm 37:5

If you trust in God, He will lead you the right way.

3.) "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." -Psalm 55:22

Are you worried about that test? Give that to God and He will fill you with great knowledge that will keep you up rather than cause you to give up.

4.) "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28

Trust in Him, give Him your troubles, and He will save you.

5.) "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" -Hebrews 13:6

Wow. If I trust in the Lord and identify that He is my helper, no test, no project, nothing can worry me.

6.) "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" -Romans 8:31

What do we say to our exams? Since God is with me, you can not take over me!

7.) "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." - 1 Corinthians 1:27

Feeling as though your teachers or a test is taking over your thoughts and attitude? God is using these to shame the wise so that you can overcome it! Don't let your exams consume you, and do not doubt! You will be stronger and wiser.

8.) "May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance." -2 Thessalonians 3:5

God's love is amazing and never ending. God is by your side, you are not alone! Be confident!

9.) I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. -Psalm 3:5

So not only is this a reminder to get some sleep, but also that you won't die because of exams.

10.) For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. -Philippians 2:13

So I know this is super encouraging to me studying to be a nurse, because I know that what I'm stressing over now will fulfill his purpose when I'm helping others in my career.

11.) "Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared." -Proverbs 3:25-26

This is so important! Don't be fearful that you will fail! God is with you always and will keep you from losing your hope and faith!

12.) "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." -1 Peter 5:6-7

He will always take your anxieties and worries upon Him so that you may be saved. Do not worry.

Good luck, and pray for one another! Enjoy the Summer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
