Because could college BE any more annoying?

12 Times All College Students Are Chandler Bing

As college students, we have certain unspoken obligations to be sarcastic, hardworking and totally full of despair yet still full of fun. Basically, we're all just little Chandler Bings. In other words, we need to complain and be a little blunt with people. Here are just a few times in the day of the life of a college student that this rings truer than true.

1. When you're trying to study in the library, but people decide to have a loud conversation near you instead of doing work.

I mean really, a library is for studying, not socializing!

2. When you're forced to make friends in your class for a group project.

There's nothing worse in college than being forced to socialize with people you wouldn't be talking to outside of class.

3. When your roommate tries to motivate you to go to the gym with them.

And even though you feel guilty for paying for that gym membership and only using it once, you and I both know that Netflix and your bed are way better.

4. When your friends are coupled up and you're still single.

Ah yes, constant reminders that you are single and all your friends have love...that's the best.

5. When you're trying to focus during your 8 a.m.

Trust me, you'll learn to sleep with your eyes open.

6. When your professors assign two essays, an exam and a project all in one week.

Do professors honestly think we're machines that do nothing but work and study? Because that's what it's starting to feel like.

7. When you try to stay up all night to get an essay done.

Once 2 a.m. rolls around, you may as well kiss that coherent conclusion goodbye and save it for the morning.

8. When people ask you what your major is and what you want to do with your degree.

"Oh you know, I could go into this field or maybe I'll change my major...again."

9. When you're trying to sit through a lecture, but it's just too boring.

Sometimes a lecture can just be way too bland, and the job of having to sit through it is much too daunting. Don't worry, no one will notice if you slip out the back door.

10. When you're filling your friend in on what they did the night before.

There's nothing funnier than having to retell the night's events to a friend who doesn't quite remember with a smug grin and endless opportunities for jokes.

11. When the dining hall actually has something good for once.

Edible chicken? A new menu item? Bless the days that the dining halls decide to change it up, and you don't have to dig into your actual wallet for decent food.

12. When you're sick of going out and just want a quiet night in.

Don't get me wrong, parties are great, but sometimes a nice, quiet, relaxing night in is what you really need.

So, even if we do complain more than we should, we're not alone. College is tough, but at least, we're all going through it together. And hey, sometimes just venting or taking a day to relax and binge-watch "Friends" (and anything else Netflix has to offer) can help with a stressful week. College is a time when we all have the chance to become the sarcastic underdog in everyday situations. Could Chandler be more like us?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
