My parents have always been the type to play video games in their leisure time. They introduced me to video games as a young child and then introduced my little sisters to the games they played. Though my history of playing video games has been off and on, I have learned several things from gaming that I never learned in public school.
1. Critical thinking skills.

2. Strategising skills.

3. Understand what you are good at and focus on that.

4. Be sceptical of people.

5. Sometimes teamwork is necessary.

6. Explore the area around you and talk to different people.

7. Don't be materialistic.

8. Sitting down and taking the time to learn will eventually pay off.

9. If you aren't being challenged, you aren't going the right way.

10. The further you go in life, the harder it gets- but it's worth it.

11. Know that life is similar to a game and then know how to play it.

12. If you fail, just try again.
