Since I was little, I was always the first one awake... wherever I was. At sleepovers, I would usually find myself roaming around my friends' houses until somebody finally woke up. At camps and summer programs, I would roam around the surrounding area, exploring the silence around me. At college, I'm finding that I wake up even earlier because my schedule is exactly as I'd like it and permits me to go to bed embarrassingly early. If you are an early-bird, there's a good chance you're also into getting stuff done. You can only sit around waiting for the rest of the world to wake up for so long. Here are 12 feelings that only early-birds understand:

1. When you have to say goodbye at parties because it's past your bedtime.

2. When you're trying to fall asleep, but the rest of the world is still awake (and making noise).

3. When you wake up and get to take a nice, long shower because nobody else is up and/or bothering you

4. When you eat a lot of homemade breakfasts because nothing is open yet.

5. When you realize that you have so much time before anybody else will be up.

6. So you decide to be productive and use the time to take care of some chores.

7. But when you get there, you realize that most places don't open until 9...

8. When you get frustrated and feel like you're all alone in a world full of sleepers.

9. When you realize that you have the time to literally do all your laundry, homework and cleaning for the next week.

10. When you get to be so productive because there are no people distracting you since it's still obscenely early.

11. When you realize that all your friends are just getting to bed and that you've just carpe diem-ed so hard.

12. When you already feel satisfied with your day before it has started because you've accomplished so much

So if you're not an early-bird now, you should definitely consider the perks!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
