Cousins are some of the first friends you have in life. If you're lucky, they will be some of your best. I must say, I was blessed with a stellar bunch. My cousins are the best friends I never asked for, but couldn't imagine my life with out. So here's to my cousins and all the cousins out there.

1. You are a squad.

Whether you like it or not your family is the first "squad" you have ever been apart of.

2. You know far too much about each other.

You're cousins know almost everything about you, you can't get away with lying too them because they know you too well.

3. You have seen each others most embarrassing moments.

like that one time you thought it would be cool to jump in a trash bag.

4. You all look the same.

Random strangers stop you in the store and ask if you're twins or siblings

5. You UNDERSTAND each other.

They don't judge you for your weird quirks or for craving pizza at midnight. While others may judge you, they order PAPA JOHNS.

6. Matching Gifts

Because is it really christmas if you don't get matching presents? The answer is no.

7. Matching Outfits

I think this speaks for itself.

8. You're together through the worst.

You're there for each other through it all. You have been each others shoulder to cry on. Though the loss of loved ones, the confusion of life, the break up, the make ups and basically everything else, cousins are the ones you can always count on.

9. Standing by each other at the best

They have been their at your greatest moments, cheering you on.

10. Sharing inside jokes

You make others feel uncomfortable with the amount of inside jokes you have, kinda like the one above.

11. Loving you no matter what

They have seen your best and your worst and continue to love you. Maybe it is because they are stuck with you? Regardless, their love is endless.

12. Reading each others minds

You can look at each other and know exactly what the other is thinking. This comes in handy in a number of situations.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
