There are a lot of emotions that college students go through while they are home for break. Here are a few thoughts that seem to come up a lot no matter which break it is and no matter how long it is. We feel loved, missed, upset, bored, excited, and tired all at once.

1. I miss my school friends

It’s hard going from seeing the same people 24/7 to not seeing them at all. You miss your friends at school the second you leave. Even though they are only a phone call and text away they seem forever away. You find yourself talking about them all the time to your friends and family.

2. Wow, I miss my family when I'm gone

Your family seems to slip your mind sometimes at school but when you get home all you want to do is spend the rest of your time with them. You love them more than the world and just want them to be with you for the rest of break.

3. I can never get enough home-cooked food

Home-cooked food was put on the planet for a reason. It is love. You’re pretty positive you never want to stop getting this food and you know that as soon as you get back to school you’re going to miss every single crumb.

4. My life is more boring than I thought

You really want to be that person that goes on trips and goes out every night, but it’s just so much easier not to. It’s really easy to just sit back and watch TV all day.

5. Haven’t watched this Netflix show yet …

You find yourself finishing show after show because it's actually satisfying finishing a TV show. Netflix is one of the most amazing things ever invented and you intend to use it while you can.

6. I really need a job

You check your bank account every 5 seconds just to check if money spontaneously showed up. Since your job at the moment is at school, you aren’t currently getting paid and it is killing you every time you pay for something.

7. Did I eat breakfast today?

You find yourself waking up really late and starting your day off with lunch. You know it's bad but you really love your sleep.

8. It's 2 a.m. already?

You stay up way too late watching Netflix. The next thing you know, it's tomorrow and you are realizing that a normal person would be sound asleep by now. However, you talk yourself into just one more episode because you have to know what happens next.

9. No, Mom, I haven’t left my bed yet today

Your parents really hate that you stay in bed all day. You hear them complain day after day and every time you promise to get up the next day and do something. It never ends up happening, though.

10. I should probably do some homework, I guess

It’s now the day before you go back to school and you still haven’t even thought about your homework. You figure you could probably start in a few hours because you still haven’t finished this episode.

11. Maybe I should go on an adventure today

You have random thoughts about going on adventures because you really want to take cool pictures and post them everywhere. Adventures take time and money though, and you don't have either of those things.

12. I’m really going to miss my friends when I leave

You have spent all this lazy time with your best friends at home. You know you are going to cry when you go back to school. They are like family to you and without them you wouldn’t know who you are or what to do. You constantly wish you could stay with them forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
