The comes a time in everyone’s life where they binge watch a television show—when you hear your friends talking about a show for the 500th time and you think: it's about start. Here are the 12 steps of binge watching a television show:

1. Picking the show:

You hear your friends talk about it and you figure you should try an episode out.


2. Watching the first episode like:

“No I swear, you need to get past the first episode/season!”


3. You click the next episode to see where it leads you:

"I guess I will give it a second shot."

4. "Maybe just one more episode":

"Now with the automatic playing it just goes right into the next episode! I swear I had no control."

5. Four days later, you're three seasons deep and emotionally attached to the characters:

Let the obsession kick in.


6. Soon your friends and family will be wondering where you are:

"Have you heard from our child? I can't seem to find them."


7. You have just been hiding in your room the entire time:

"Season 8? How did that happen?"


8. “You really need to do something else”:

"Okay I will but right after this next... season."


9. You're fully indulged into the show and there is no escape:

There seems to only be the world of Netflix.


10. You realize there are only a few episodes left:

Either online or left in the series


11. You finish the series and don't know what to do with your life:

"What am I supposed to do now?"

12. Re-watching series from beginning:

“Now that I understand everything I want to re-watch it, to uh see what I missed?”
