I always find myself wondering why I'm always tired, like it's a mystery. It's no mystery. I'm exhausted because I go days without sleep and expect sleeping for 12 hours is somehow going to fix that.
I know i'm not the only one considering all my friends are the same way. Actually one of my friends and I just did this to ourselves. We didn't pull an all-nighter but basically the same concept considering we went to sleep at 5. I figured it would be a great time to list off the stages of exhaustion since I'm still in the midst of them, so here they are.
1. Man, I'm Really Tired
The first step is acknowledging you have a problem.
2. Almost Done
Ignore the problem and keep going. Even if you're no where near done because you probably procrastinated yourself into it.
3. Reward
Decide sleep is for the best--But first, you deserve a little relaxing reward.
4. Two a.m.?
How?
5. My Own Worst Enemy
At myself.
6. Hunger
You've been up for a while. You'll probably get hungry once you're in bed so might as well eat now.
7. Energy Boost
Who needs sleep!
8. Crash
-- me.
9. Morning
Existing is fairly difficult in this stage.
10. Utter Exhaustion
Moving is worse.
11. Coffee
The only hope for resurrection.
12. Blissful Sleep
And then at the end of the day you slip into the most peaceful sleep (coma) of your life. Go ahead. You earned it.
