12 Signs You're Addicted To Pokemón Go

Considering you don't live under a rock, you would know that Pokémon Go has suddenly hit the world by storm. For those unfamiliar with the concept, Pokémon is a media concept originally kickstarted in the late 90s, and developed into both a TV series and a highly successful series of video games throughout the years. As someone who grew up playing Pokémon (albeit a little embarrassing when I was in middle school), I've noticed that almost every single person my age or even older has been bowled over with this new game. Not only does the app let you travel across the world competing with others and catching Pokémon, but it also let's you interact with the Pokémon in a very real-world environment. That does include the annoying reoccurrence of constant rattatas and weedles everywhere you go, but it also includes the feeling of achievement when catching a gyarados. Either way, from what I see on my feed daily, I new quite a few people who might apply to this list. Here's 12 signs you're addicted to Pokémon Go.

1. It's the only reason you leave the house. I, personally, prefer to stay indoors in my own cave during the summer, but the only reason I leave the house now is to catch Pokémon!

2. If you have a dog, your parents have probably told you to take the dog with you every time you leave the house, resulting in this.

However, if you do not have a pet, this pet shelter is encouraging walking dogs from the shelter as you do walk around the shelter! Even if you aren't from Indiana, all pet shelters are encouraging it, and everyone could use a furry buddy while hunting for pokémon!

3. You might get carried away from time to time in all the adventure, and forget the constrictions of time

4. When your free time begins to depend on whether you are playing Pokémon or not

5. The adventure brings out all sorts of emotions from inside that you didn't expect to come out before

6. Your parents begin to get in on it

7. You've discovered the Pokemon Go Map created by Google, and refer to it while you embark on the next adventure.

8. You've never broken a law in your life, but now you trespass like it's your job.

9. You strap your phone to your dog's collar and let your dog loose to hatch your pokémon eggs for you.

10. You've finally found a reason to invest in a portable charger

11. You completely throw out the childhood rule of looking both ways before crossing the street.

12. You have a bunch of new friends because of the game.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
