With New York Fashion Week starting in full force, the fashion lovers of the world cannot help but rejoice for the month ahead. Anyone involved in fashion week is about to have a crazy month ahead of them. But for those of us who aren't there, we sit back and watch from behind our screens.
Even though we aren't as famous or as well-known as other bloggers and designers who are attending, we are involved in are own ways. From following WWD and Fashion Week Online, we are up to date on who's show is when, with our favorite designers stared. Our friends may get annoyed with our month-long obsession, but thankfully the internet and "Sex and the City" are here to back us up!
1. When you realize fashion month has officially begun and can't contain your excitement
May our happy dances begin as the fashion gods grace our free time.
2. You break out all of your fashionable clothing to wear everywhere
Let the people stare and admire your stylish taste, no matter how weird they think it is.
3. Your feet start to hurt because dressing fashionable meant wearing heels, and heels aren't always practical
The heels may look cute, but stumbling down the sidewalk at the end of the day is definitely not.
4. When you become friends with people who are just as excited about fashion month as you are
Finally... my people!
5. You're shocked that some people don't know about fashion month
Where do you think the trends come from?
6. You have the schedule saved to your home page so you know when your favorite designers' shows are
You have to set alerts on your phone to remind yourself of the times.
7. You wonder how people look so normal in street style looks, but when you try it, it looks like you got dressed in the dark
Over-sized jeans, jacket, and platform shoes? We don't know how some people pull it off.
8. Looking at after party snaps and pictures makes you want to be there even more
Host your own party, drink champagne, and pretend to be famous instead.
9. You question some of the designs, but remember that the designer is clearly doing something right in life and you're simply not on that level (yet)
An over-sized print and cut outs may seem odd, but remember who got their designs on the runway in the first place.
10. When your favorite designer or model comes out on the runway
You go Glen Coco!
11. When fashion month comes to the end and you're just not ready for it yet
Stop. We're not ready to have less fashion in our lives.
12. But it's okay because the next season is just around the corner
The countdown begins!
