Things We All Go Through At The End Of The Semester

It's that time of the year again. Spring break came to a screeching halt and it's time to get back to reality. But let's face it, you really wish you were still partying at Padre.

No matter where you go to school, what year you are, or what your major is, we all have gone through the following 12 things during the final month of the semester

1. You find that you are literally incapable of listening in class or studying. Even if it is the most interesting class you've ever taken, the material has become boring and redundant.

2. You look like a complete slob everyday. Who has time to get dressed when you have three papers, two problem sets, and four tests all in one week?

3. Your parents won't stop nagging you to find a job. If you're a senior, this is even more true.

And they don't understand how hard it is to find a job when your resumé looks like this.

4. You frequently think about dropping out. The number of times you say, "I can't do this anymore," becomes excessive.

5. You get your midterm grades back and maybe this is your reaction.

But most likely, you realize you need to step up your game for the second half of the semester, so you start to take your work very seriously.

6. Everyone gets sick because no one is getting enough sleep. If you're one of the few who don't catch a cold, consider yourself lucky.

7. You realize that all the 2 a.m. Whataburger runs are catching up with you. I guess you should have listened to your mom when she told you not to eat your stress.

8. You start to study for finals and begin thinking that maybe you don't need a college degree. After all, there are plenty of great alternatives.

9. Reading days have finally arrived! While you should spend your night studying, you know this is the second best time to go out (the first being syllabus week, obviously).

10. You immediately regret not studying more when your professor gives you the first exam and you realize you know nothing on it.

11. But when your tests are finally over and all your papers have been turned in, it's time to celebrate with your friends one last time.

12. Finally, you say goodbye to a great year and only hope that the next can top it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
