12 Disney Movies And TV Shows To Remind You Of Your Childhood

Being in college is a time to feel young and alive, but with the dawn of the ten year anniversary of High School Musical’s release, the realization of just how old we are has finally sunk in. That being said, there is something sweet and nostalgic looking back at these treasured Disney movies and reminiscing in the good ol' days. In case you have forgotten, here are ten Disney releases that you need to revisit and watch ASAP as a reminder of just how good we had it (because let's face it, the shows and movies today just can't measure up to these jackpots).

1. "Motorcrossed"

A little less known, this original movie brought a little romance to our child hearts and adventure for our child souls.

2. "The Lizzie McGuire Movie"

This is the highlight of childhood, the movie that truly encompasses all we went through. This movie contained outfits that we all dreamed of wearing, and most importantly, a song that we still chant out any time someone mentions Lizzie McGuire.

3. "Cadet Kelly"

Not only did Hillary Duff teach us to be unique, she showed how being confident and strong, even at a young age, can make all the difference in school and with friends.

4. "The Cheetah Girls"

Cheetalicious! These gals brought the sass to our childhood (along with great songs and even better dance moves).

5. "High School Musical"

10 years ago, this movie was released. 10 YEARS! Yup, we are old. But let's just take a moment to realize how many pointless and catchy songs we still know from this truly wonderful series.

6. "Camp Rock"

It's obvious that Disney really loves musicals. By bringing in the Jonas Brothers and creating romance between Joe and Demi, this movie made us all dream that we might be able to fall in love with our teenage heartthrob.

7. "Even Stevens"

Only a true oldie will remember this lovable show. About a family in disarray, this was a show that really helped spark our love for comedy and accepting our quirks.

8. "The Proud Family"

If you loved Saturday morning cartoons, then you were definitely a regular for this crazy family. There was no shortage of sass, trouble, and lots of love to go around.

9. "Kim Possible"

Thanks to Kim, this was the first real girl power cartoon of our childhood that made us proud to be a girl. (And let's face it, we all wanted to be a spy after watching it).

10. "That’s So Raven"

Not only was Raven psychic, but she also showed that she had a lot to learn. She made multiple mistakes, but her friendships, humor and confidence in herself made this show one for the books.

11. "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

These twins will always hold a special spot in my heart. From their pranks to their chaos, they would always bring a smile to anyone's face. And let's admit it — Mr. Mosby deserved most of the stuff that came his way.

12. Hannah Montana

I call this the Good Era. Miley Cyrus has definitely done a lot of things since this (some things which have definitely raised some eyebrows), but the glorious days of Hannah Montana are ones to remember. Not only was it extremely relatable, but it also was one which encouraged you to go after your dreams.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
