Now that Halloween is over (*sobs*), we can start setting our sights on the most important day of the entire year: Christmas. Here are 12 reasons why Christmas is the greatest, as told by "The Office."

1. Snow

Okay, who really cares that snow can be dangerous sometimes? Snow is loads of fun. You can roll around in it, throw it, eat it and use it as a building material. It's a miracle substance.

2. Christmas music

Christmas music is magical in the way that it automatically can put you into a festive and cheery mood. Also, how cool is it that literally everyone knows the same Christmas songs. It's unifying!

3. Apple cider

Apple cider is downright delicious, and anyone who disagrees is incorrect.

4. Putting up the tree

Putting up the tree is a tradition that nearly everyone participates in, even though everyone carries it out differently, and that's a beautiful thing. Is your Christmas tree even complete without 7,000 baby-photo ornaments?

5. Pretty lights

There's nothing better than driving around looking at light shows or walking down a light-covered street. Colored or white, Christmas lights make the world more whimsical and lovely.

6. Candy canes

Okay, honestly, candy canes aren't really that good. But for some reason, they're the official candy of the Christmas season, and you kind of can't avoid eating one and mildly enjoying it.

7. Presents

Because all of us are secretly super selfish and love receiving presents. Also, gift-giving is pretty satisfying, too. It's a good thing that both of these things happen at Christmas.

8. A general sense of coziness

Drinking cocoa by a fireplace by the light of a Christmas tree while a snowstorm is raging outside? Yes, please. Christmas is cozy and makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy.

9. Cheesy movies

Is it even Christmas if you don't watch A Christmas Story for the entire 24-hour loop?

10. Santa

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the big man himself. There's something exciting about seeing Santa Claus wherever you go.

11. Christmas parties

Getting to spend time with friends to celebrate the holidays is so fun, especially when there are snacks and gift-exchanges and paper snowflakes.

12. Family

Perhaps most importantly, Christmas is a chance to spend time with family and loved ones and to be able to celebrate being together.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
