Everyone scrolls through their news feed and internally sighs at the basic pictures and captions they see in every other posts. Here's a few of the numerous things everyone sees on Instagram.

1. Fourth of July Posts

A girl standing by a tree in her front yard with an American flag wrapped around her body while dressed in a crop top and cutoffs, with the caption "Happy 2016th Birthday America <3"

Okay y'all, America isn't 2016 years old. Anyone who took a history class in middle school knows that.

2. Pictures with an "Almost" Significant Other

A girl either standing in a purposefully goofy pose with her soon-to-be boyfriend, or the usual post of her with her hands around his waist. The caption almost 100% of the time being: "I guess he's alright ;)"

One of the most overused captions ever. And everyone knows y'all are basically dating already anyway, so just put a label on it already!

3. First Day of Fall "TBT" Pics

A picture of a girl either by herself or with her best friends in bathing suits on the beach, with the caption "Missing summer and my best friends </3"

The caption should actually mean: "I miss my bikini body, but I don't miss having to worry about what I look like under my clothes". We've all been there.

4. Snow Day Pictures

Every girl goes outside, dressed up all cute on a snow day so she can get her picture taken in the good lighting. The picture usually ends up being one of her blowing snow out of her hands towards the camera, wearing excessive amounts of blush.

We've all seen these on every snow day, every single year.

5. Birthday Collages

OMG IT'S MY BFF'S BIRTHDAY! *insert essay about how amazing the best friend is, mentioning every funny moment they've ever had ever* Pictures in the collage are pictures that the person posting looks great in, but not so much for the birthday girl.

Shame on you if you do this.

6. Concert Pics

Don't be the girl that goes to the concert just for the Instagram post. Let's be honest, you only know three songs, but you went anyway so you could say you did. Usual pictures include concert crop tops or dresses, along with the caption that has a pun inserted in the band's popular lyrics.

7. Breakup Selfies

A girl usually making the duck face, with the caption "Single and ready for a Pringle".

Just... stop.

8. Hot Dogs or Legs?

Beach pictures, but just of the girl's legs on her artsy beach towel with the caption "Beachin' <3" Her friends' comments are sure to include the question, "Hot dogs or legs?" and a lot of fire emojis.

9. Philosophical Selfies

A regular selfie, but with an inspirational caption pulled from Tumblr or 1st Corinthians 13.

10. Squad Pictures

A regular picture of a guy and his buddies, but with the caption "Squad" or "My boys".

If a guy posts on Instagram, it's most likely going to be this or a picture of his car.

11. Anniversary Posts

It's been 3 months since you guys started dating, so it's time for a picture of flowers and a dinner table with the caption: "Three amazing months with this guy, looking forward to many more. <3"

Gag. No one really cares but you two. I can't say I haven't done this, but I definitely do regret doing this.

12. Endless Hashtags

A picture of a girls legs and feet with cute shoes on, with the caption "It feels amazing outside today :) #amazing #outside #shoes #warm #cute #sunny #demlegstho #love #likeforlike

We all hate this. Please, please, stop. Please.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
