Many of us cringe, some of us cry, and the rest of us run as fast as we can at the near sight of Sodexo. Sodexo is the food service that has been providing thousands of colleges with breakfast, lunch, and dinner since 1966. It may not be the best; however, on a good day--and I mean a very good day where you wake up, the sun is shining, and there is love in the air, Sodexo will dish out an excellent meal. Here are 12 times that Sodexo has pushed to impress at Bridgewater State University.
1. Breakfast for dinner
What college student does not like having home fries and omelets at 5 p.m.?
2. Turkey dinner
Bring on the mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing, and...did I say mashed potatoes? Sodexo's Thanksgiving Dinner is absolutely incredible and leaving college students full and in tears when it's over.
3. Taco Tuesday
Personally, I love Tacos and I will eat Tacos any day of the week, every second of the day if I could, so this is something I look forward too every week.
4. Shepard's Pie
Delicious. That is all folks.
5. Curly Fries
All I am going to say is that it is honestly a missed opportunity if you do not get curly fries with your meal.
6. Throwback Thursday
The question is how many of these burgers and milkshakes can you consume in one sitting?
7. Buffalo Chicken Wraps
If you look closely, you can see a college student wait in line for hours for one of these. Along with a bomb-ass chicken caesar wrap, many people look forward to these.
8. Regular or Spicy Chicken Nuggets
I don't know what Sodexo does to make these regular chicken nuggets so amazing, but when they are being served, PSA's are tweeted from students telling everyone to get them before their gone.
9. Mac & Cheese Bites
Yes, there is Mac & Cheese inside of those beautiful triangles. One of the finest creations on the planet.
10. Sushi
Why pay $50 at an expensive restaurant when you can just get Sushi that is almost just as good at Bear's Den for $5?
11. Paninis
Have you ever had chicken and cheese with ranch dressing on a pretzel bun? No? Don't just sit there... go run and order one right now.
12. Salad Bar
I have to admit, the salad bar is pretty incredible. Even if you cannot make food to save your life, once you go to the Salad Bar at ECC, you will be calling yourself Rachael Ray because that salad is going to look gourmet.
HOWEVER--At the end of the day, it all comes down to the Sodexo employees at your school. They are there every day, rain or shine, smiling and working their asses off to make sure we have food. Without them, there would be no food, so next time you go grab a bite, make sure to thank them for all their hard work every day!
