December is quickly approaching, which means Christmas is right around the corner. This brings about so many thoughts to many college students during our final 12 days before Christmas break begins.

1. How in the world is it already December? Wasn't it move in day yesterday?

2. How many finals do I have?

3. Upcoming Graduation. Friends are graduating and leaving and you want to pack as much as you can in those last few days to spend with them.

4. Family members asking for your Christmas list. Answer: survive the semester.

5. It's a comprehensive final? I am going to die.

6. Avoiding going to the grocery store, so you continue to eat Thanksgiving leftovers, fast food, and break down and go to the cafeteria just to avoid going before the semester ends.

7. How many essay questions are on the final? Too many.

8. "When are you coming home?"

9. Packing. All of which just reminds you that you own too many t-shirts and should probably cut back but you never will.

10. One last family dinner with your roommates and friends before the semester comes to an end.

11. The feeling of a weight off of your shoulder by: taking that comprehensive final exam, turning in the capstone portfolio for your senior level course, and writing your last essay for the semester.

12. Sleep until Christmas morning.

Even though the end of the semester is wild and busy, remember it comes with well deserved rest, time to spend with family, and celebrate Christmas in the end. You can do this, ya filthy animals!

There is always a time in the semester when you have about three papers, four tests, five assignments and two projects due within the same time period. Isn't that just the best?
